I have commented in various birdcage liners on the loaded question of removing the HST with this:
"In conjunction" is the problem here. That's what we have now. Hundreds of items that were not previously charged PST have been added to the GST, "in conjunction". This wording is completely unacceptable. A return to the old system is the only question we should have. Fair taxation for all. Businesses and the electorate alike.
And in The Tyee with this:

Simple straight forward yes or no question.
On this day of Remembrance I will be going to the local cenotaph to remember as I always do, those who fought, were wounded, died, and some whose mindsets were forever altered in war.
I remember, because what they died for was my freedom. Freedom to express myself in any manner I chose. Not to be muzzled by tyrants. Free to chose, and vote for a elected representative in government to do the bidding of their constituents. In BC, free to recall any representative who does not do the bidding of their constituents.
I will also never forget the 90 % of the population of this province who backed my expression of opinion on what is going on in this province.
That is what I do on Remembrance day. It's my gift. Today I am 66 years old and I will never forget.
And I will always be grateful to the many people who blog on the internet who backed my "freedom to express myself" and say what others were thinking.

Nice work, as usual Gary. And thanks for the honour of being on your list of supporters.
I attended a Remembrance Day ceremony this morning, too, and as I watched and listened to those old hopes and dreams, I thought I understood what it is that keeps us going (you, me, Koot, RossK, Lynx, Lea, Laila, and especially Robin ... and so many others).
Remember that line: "from failing hands we pass the torch, be yours to hold it high and keep the faith ... or we'll not sleep ... though we shall lie in Flanders Field." (From memory.) Written by a Canadian. But doesn't that sum it up ... that we can't bear to think of allowing our world to descend into the darkness of fascist tyranny when they gave their ALL to prevent that very thing.
That fascist corporate tyranny is what we can see taking precedence over our rivers and lakes (Fish Lake), our forests, our clean water, our railway, our lands ...
and so we soldier on.

Of course it wasn't my intention to leave Robin or even Bill Tieleman out. Without those two and the other regulars that were in court, or even thos that tried but couldn't make it, we wouldn't have had the information that we did get.
Things get missed when you go out the door in a hurry.
And by the way the poem "In Flanders Fields" is the ONLY poem I know by heart, or memory.

Would not, the RCMP be better employed, to further investigate, Campbell's corrupt sale of the BCR? That was another election lie, by Campbell. You know, the BCR wasn't for sale lie.That would be a worthwhile and valuable use of time. Does anyone know, if there will be an RCMP investigation into the sea to sky highway? I read Laila Yuile's blog on it. What a sickening bunch of criminals, the BC Liberals really are. The HST was just another election lie. This is solely Campbell and Hansen's responsibility, to clean up their own mess. This is not the fault of the citizens. The BC People are sick of, the BC Liberals, lies, deceit, corruption, thieving, arrogance, dirty tactics, election lies. Campbell is too full of, hate, spite, malice, and too vindictive to just quit. We know him too well, to believe anything he says. There is a place beneath contempt. That place is, the ninth ring of Dante's Inferno. That's where the BC Liberals belong.

Anon 11:52 am. What can I say. With all the evidence we have been able to scrounge, after years of reporting by both Professor Mathews and Bill Tieleman as well as those that appeared in court (minus the MSM) one would think that collectively the things produced would warrant at least5 a thorough investigation by the RCMP. Without evidence, who knows what the reason is. My only hope that another government will open up everything the libs have done to, I allege, ruin this province.. What can I say about Laila's work? Incredible. Right up there with the thinks BC Mary has given us (with a little help from her friends)
