The Big Lie

In the late 1990s' Gordon Campbell said he would Privatize the BC Railway. This single statement most likely cost him the election.
In 2001 he said he would not privatize the Railway. He seliberately misled the people of British Columbia and went ahead and privatized it anyway. Then has the utter gall to tell the people it isn't really privatized because he didn't sell the railbed.
And because he has the largest majority government in the history of the province (with only 2 opposition members) he forges ahead and gives CN Rail a 990 year lease, virtually locking CN into BC rail until someone can figure a more modern way to transport goods.
