Victoria, B.C.- Premier Gordon Campbell has passed along his best wishes for all to have a great B.C. Day.

"British Columbia Day is an opportunity for people all across the Province to spend time with their family and friends, and to remember and celebrate all the things that make British Columbia the Best Place on Earth.

Of course if you live any distance from your family his government has ensured that you can't afford to make the trip by gouging you with a gas tax grab, or allowing BC Ferries to jack up their prices to pay for the already overpaid executives.

"We are fortunate to live in a province of unparalleled natural beauty with communities that are among the most vibrant and multicultural anywhere in the world.

But let us not forget that he is allowing Run of the River power projects , and the release of our farmlands from the ALR to destroy that beauty. And his botched plans for the forestry are giving us unheard of unemployment.

"Last year was our province's 150th anniversary and we celebrated a century-and-a-half of achievement, growth, and success.

And just think, it only took him eight years to destroy that which took us 150 years to build. Happy Birthday BC
