The information I have received from Wendy Holm is that "the regulations governing fluid milk would require that it be labeled reconstituted if it was.." So being in the business they must know what the word "reconstituted" means. And if it is not labeled as such then they would be breaking some sort of law. I might suggest that you get in touch with the department of agriculture or whatever department now regulates these things and advise them of your situation.Gary Ehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10640964040603349900noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1414404348331965096.post-76204612675503198512009-03-05T18:58:00.000-08:002009-03-05T18:58:00.000-08:00Anon 4:08You raise a good question and I will try ...Anon 4:08

You raise a good question and I will try to find someone who can answer it.

For now though, you could call up some of those who "plead ignorance" of what " reconstituted" means.

reconstitute vt restore (food) to its former state esp. by addition of water to a concentrate.Gary Ehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10640964040603349900noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1414404348331965096.post-13390931663469553532009-03-05T16:08:00.000-08:002009-03-05T16:08:00.000-08:00When the only kind of milk that our local store co...When the only kind of milk that our local store could carry was Parmalat, I tried drinking it. I was so very sure that the product was in fact, reconstituted powdered milk. I phoned Parmalat and tried to get them to answer my questions. Every one I talked to "plead ignorance" of what "reconstituted" meant. Do you have any information about such a likelihood? I have drank milk for over 70 years, and for many of those years while living in tropical countries, we drank powdered milk which we mixed with filtered water. That is what Parmalat milk tastes like. Would it be legal for them to have done that in Canada? I look forward to your response.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
